I ordered 6 items from a seller on ebay cardmakersdream who are based in Asia. This was a very long time ago (in 5x on Feb 26,2007 and 1 x March 3,2007). I did not receive any of my orders at all so I left a negative feedback (one out of 6). I receive only 2 packages with some embellishments of which there are 6 tiny butterflies, a couple of hearts and tiny flowers. These are not my order – it also said on the attached letter that it was a Thank you gift or a teaser for their other products.

They were then saying their account was hijacked that they will send my packages again or make a claim to the post. But nothing happened. Now I received an email titled DEFEMATION OF CHARACTER? What the hell are they children? Their shop was their responsibility! I am a buyer who expects either my purchases or a refund. Nothing else.

The profile of the seller says she is in the United Kingdom but in the emails, it says they are in Thailand.

Below are the e-mails I receive from them. None retained except my ebay details.

Hi there
Just a quick note to let you know that your items have been dispatched from
Thailand. We do insure all packages now, regardless of value so we can offer
replacements or a refund should they go missing in the mail. Although it
doesn’t happen often it does unfortunately appear to happen ! So you have
no worries we always look after our customers.

WE ARE HONEST GENUINE EBAYERS however we are not the Thai post office or
the Royal mail !! Your items have to ship over many continents and even though
they are sent via express small packet air, this can take time. The UK
Customs is always looking at small packets from Thailand for obvious reasons
so they are subjected to more scrutiny than anything coming in via Europe,
they also have to decide if the item is dutiable; it isn’t but they don’t
know that until they read the declaration form. This can add to the delivery
time too.

recently I recevied negative feedback for items that were not received. The
purchaser had contacted me and I offered to send replacements if the originals
were not received. I heard nothing for some time and have been away for a
month so assumed that items had been received.
Before you purchased from me I am sure that you checked out my feedback.
This indicates the high level of both product and customer service that is
normal for me and is something that I am Very proud of and strive for daily.
( I am sure you will understand how badly this negative feedback has affected
me)
I wanted to reassure you that I am neither a rogue or a cheat.
You will see on all my listings that items can ship from various different
locations including, Spain,USA and Thailand, this means that delivery time
can vary.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEVIED YOUR ITEM WITHIN
10 DAYS OF DISPATCH NOTIFICATION SO I CAN SEND REPLACEMENTS. Many other Ebayers
do not do this but as a internet shopper myself I exzpect to get wat I pay
for and that is my own business objective here on Ebay. Yes I make a loss
if I have to replace something, thankfully however it is very rare!.

Our account was recently hijacked and ebay was forced to suspend all activities,
including messaging other ebayers, this combined with us being away and having
limited internet access ( we are in 3rd world part of asia at present) has
left us unable to reply personally to any messages, please write to Ebay
safety team who will confirm that our account was hijacked.
In addition our paypal account has also been restricted as such we can not
receive or send money or refunds at this time.
We have been asked for the strangest information we believe relating to the
3rd party who hijacked our accounts.
Please bear with us while we try to deal with your issues, please note per
our shop listing that we are away until the 24th. The post office in Thailand
is also closed for National Songkran New Year festival.
ALL ITEMS ARE FULLY INSURED WE HAVE TRACKING DETAILS FOR ALL IPODS AND ORDERS
IN EXCESS OF £20. WE SEND FROM A SMALL SUB POST OFFICE SO DETAILS SARE NOT

RECEIPTS TO PAYPAL AS PROOF OF POSTAGE. The tracking number is UNIQUE to
each of you . You may have received an email that was sent out in error by
a trainee who sent the same tracking number to everyone. THIS WAS A GENUINE
MISTAKE.
Please be patient until our return . As it is we can do nothing with refunds
or replacments until the post office reopens and we get back and make postal
claims, also with our paypal being restricted we cannot resolve any issues
or complaints so we suggest you write to paypal and tell them to unrestrict
our account so we can respond.
Before you start to leave negative feedback ask yourself this question why
on earth would a high reputated anchor shop not send out items and risk negative
feedback ?

The last email is complete bullocks! If I received my packages, I wouldn’t have put a negative feedback. Your shop is your responsibility and whether it is hijacked or stolen, it is your responsibility to provide the paid services to your customers. As customer, I have paid the items on time even on the same day I purchased it. I’ve made purchases on ebay and have no problems giving positive feedbacks to sellers deserving such.

If you want your customers and possible buyers to give you business then you should do your best and dispatch the items, protect your data and so on. Again, it is your responsibility! I’ve done my part (paying). Now, I want a refund on ALL purchases not delivered .
